Here we are again. It’s nice to connect with you.
I was thinking about how life is an ocean of experiences. Since our moment of birth, we experience things happening. Feelings, emotions, people, activities, sights, sounds, smells, touches, tastes – an entire array of sensations and happenings.
Sometimes I think of it as witnessing a living, moving painting. This huge flow of life moves in and around us. At times it’s thrilling, scary, painful, joyous, boring, overwhelming, peaceful, nerve-wracking, fun, uncertain, and surprising.
Even our bodies are part of this creative experience. We are aware of how they grow, shrink, hurt, feel good, get tired, feel awake.
I’ve come to discover that clutter is anything that takes us away from the connection of this living experience. The more we feel that life is stable, certain and controllable, the further away we get from the vital thrill and fulfillment of living. The less we hold on, and begin to let go, the more at home we feel with the experience our lives.
