I looked down as the water from the faucet rinsed off my tooth brush. I was enamored by the water as it cascaded over the bristles. I loved how flexible and fluid it was.
I thought about how in life, if I’m stuck on doing something one way, the rigidity makes life unpleasant. Being stubborn feels violent in way. It seems to push against life.
But when I loosen up, when I feel flexible in possible alternatives, then living feels like a delight.
