Hi. This Wednesday, May 1st I’m doing another As You Are show. It’s at the Sebastopol Library, 7140 Bodega Ave, Sebastopol, CA 95472 at 7pm. If you live in the Bay Area, and you’re free, I’d love to have you join us.
In the show, I use music, humor, and imagination to lead the audience through playful and creative interviews as a way to reveal who they are. The Sonoma West Times and News says, “As You Are is a new talk show that builds connections between strangers.” Read more here.
There’s something beautiful in us when we’re open and real. I’m never impressed by accomplishments, or titles. I’ve worked with celebrities, and beyond the initial and very brief, “Oh, wow, it’s them,” they’re like everyone else with problems, pains and joys, tiredness, things needing to be done, vulnerabilities, frustrations, desires, etc.
The full array of life in each one of us is a wonder to behold. I’m certain life would suck if everything worked out all the time. It’s the varieties on display in a person’s life that are a masterpiece. When we see that others are pretty much no different than us, then the fight and drive to be great and amazing and adored falls away. We get what we really wanted all along, which is to feel connected with others and life itself.
