The thing is I don’t think anyone has it together. At times there’s self doubt, sadness, exhaustion, fear, and similar feelings. Those are normal feelings that come and go.
Having it together usually means masking the difficult parts of life. It’s a lot of work to put on that show. Whenever I try it, I feel like I need an all-day nap.
A lot of things are marketed as a way to keep from feeling the harder parts of life. I’ve purchased them at times, and once the distraction quickly wears off, I regret it.
Not having it together is a relief. Life becomes a lot easier. It doesn’t mean giving up. It’s not sanitizing my life in order to become acceptable to others.
