A few days ago, Julia and I were taking an orchard ladder out of our tool shed. It’s a very tall and wide ladder you use to pick fruit. We were going to use it to take some apples from the top of one of our apple trees. I had one end, she had the other. It got stuck on a bike, and while I was trying to loosen the ladder from the bike, the ladder slipped and landed on my toes. I wasn’t wearing shoes and it hurt a lot. I got out of the shed and lay down on the ground, yelled, and held my foot in pain.
After about a few minutes I felt better. We took the ladder the rest of the way out and brought it to the tree and got the apples. We brought the apples inside. Julia used them to make an apple pie. An hour or so later we ate the pie and it was delicious.
I think anything worthwhile is gonna have some pain. That’s not a bad thing. Life’s a full spectrum.
