It’s easy to lose yourself in the clutter. Clutter is loud. It takes up your attention. You end up losing connection with yourself and you suffer.
A way to find yourself again is by noticing how crappy the situation is making you feel. Try closing your eyes and putting your hand on your heart. Listen to what’s going on inside. Imagine you’re listening to a friend who is going through a hard time.
You’re not trying to fix anything. You’re basically reconnecting with you. There’s something wonderfully healing about being heard. It goes against the usual solution of buying more things, or getting lost in distractions.
Listen and feel the soothe. There’s a peacefulness in re-remembering yourself. This is what you were looking for all along.
Ask yourself, “What do I need?” Listen to what comes up.
Ask, “Is there anything in my life that isn’t fitting me anymore?” See what gets revealed.
By putting attention on and listening to you, you can start to get solutions on how to begin to repair your life. No life is irreparable.
