Saying goodbye to the past

March 2, 2021 by Brooks Palmer 4 Comments

I make oil pastel paintings. I’ve made hundreds and hundreds over the years. A lot were taped or tacked to the wall. Others were stacked on a table. A few days ago they began to feel overwhelming and stagnant. The opposite of how great it felt to create the art. I used to think I […]

Hunting for distractions

February 25, 2021 by Brooks Palmer Leave a Comment

Today’s client was frustrated with himself because he’d filled up a recently clutter busted space with more stuff. I said he’d done that because the new space made him feel uncomfortable. When we remove clutter and create open space, we become more aware of what were feeling. If we’re feeling some pain, physical or emotional, […]

Praise

Brooks Palmer was the speaker for our organization’s Spring Workshop.  His wonderful presentation on Clutterbusting was informative, interactive and fun.    His stories, examples and suggestions on how to address our own “clutter” situations were tremendously helpful.   I personally was able to take his tips and begin the task of de-cluttering my own office.
